The Turner Flying Group is made up of 3 founder family aviators - Whether you're a fellow aviator, enthusiast, flying nut or have flown with us we hope you
find our site interesting and useful - please use the contact us page for any feedback, questions or requests.
PLEASE NOTE; TFG is a private group of aviators pursuing our passion for flying during our spare time in various craft. We are not in any way a profit making, professional, limited or registered company. Our friends and family fly with us for pleasure only where and when possible.
'DH returned to Hangar 3 @ Sywell in February 2018 following an extensive Winter 2017 overhaul programme which included; LYCOMING O-360 engine re-build, 2 x Garmin NAV/COMM avionic upgrades (to comply with CAA 8.33MHz regulation), New Oil-Filter modification (following type certification on the Robin DR400/180 Regent), New Starter Motor and repairs to her Port wing following a 'Hangar Rash' incident which went un-reported by the perpetrator...YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE (...and so do we!)
G-DNGR Colt 31A 'Hopper' Hot Air Balloon joins our fleet of TFG craft. Seen here in the hands of Martyn Turner completing her maiden flight at Kelmarsh Hall on 6th May 2018.
'DH joined the Fly-in line up again at The Abingdon Air & Country Show on 6th May 2018. A great show to kick-off the Summer Airshow calendar, with this year marking the 100 Years of the RAF. Images below; (make sure you watch Rich Goodwin's display in his 'anana' Sponsored Muscle Biplane Pitts S2S Special G-EWIZ - amazing!)
2013 - We bid a fond farewell to G-BAPX DR400/160 and Welcome our new Group Aircraft G-BSDH DR400/180!
August 2013 saw us bid a fond farewell to G-BAPX and welcome our new Group Aircraft to Hangar 3 at Sywell, a lovely Robin DR400/180 Regent G-BSDH.
April 2013 saw us re-form with the G-BAPX Group. The lure of the well documented 'bent wing' Robin handling characteristics, benefits of type and based at Sywell again was enough to temp us back as 1/4 share owners.
Having sold our 1/5 share in G-BAPX, 2010 saw us join a new fixed wing flying syndicate. The lure of something a little more complex saw us slipping the surly bonds in a Piper Arrow III G-TSGA from Peterborough Conington for recreational pleasure flying and the odd business meeting.
HOT AIR BALLOONING
TFG are very active in supporting the BBM&L heritage of Hot Air Ballooning and Annually hold Inflation Days at various locations in the UK - see links below for more info:
To those of you who have enjoyed flying with us already we hope you had an enjoyable and memorable experience. Thank you for sharing your comments in our TFG feedback section.
When once you have tasted flight you will forever walk the Earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been and there you long to return...
